However, all that should not be necessary. I understand the problem is that the blanking occurs when the OP is watching a video in Kaffeine. It is the responsability of kaffeine to avoid the blanking to occur, nobody should have to disable powersaving features (which are a good thing).
Please tell me how to disable power-off completely. I am fed up with it. Note for example of browser pluging which play video and do not prevent screen blanking. I wonder why I disabled all power saving features in Gnome and KDE and still the screen goes black after 10 minutes.
