Hi Constant,
On 5/30/10, Constant Brouerius van Nidek
Heard somewhere enthusiastic comments about the web browser Midori. Went to Yast and found it there. Installed it and wanted to have a look at this small web browser. Found it back in the menu and started it. And now I need help :)
First info I received was: ----------- gcjwebplugin error: Failed to run/etc/alternatives/../../bin/java. For more detail rerun "firefox -g" in a terminal window
I found similar problem and solved it by installing java-1_6_0-sun package instead of the default openSUSE 11.2, java-1_6_0-openjdk package. It seems that java-1_6_0-openjdk package doesn't correctly contains gcjwebplugin.so. The old package for openSUSE 11.0 has the plugin on it's package. off-topic, You may also hit similar error message while running Firefox on terminal.
