[opensuse] weird digikam problem

Dear Listmates, I have a weird problem with digikam 0.10.0 (running on kde 4.4.1, OS 11.2). When clicking those small icons and trying to view the bigger image, no bigger image appears, but simply a text saying "Cannot display preview for XXX.JPG" (XXX being the filename in question) After trying to find something from the configuration menus for ~ 30 min. without success, I decided to send this e-mail..
