Hi list,
- I don't know of any more competent to ask than you lot :-)
- Given a CCD camera and some large printed digits and letters (on stones and tiles actually), does anyone know of any FOSS sw that'll read/understand/do the trick. i.e. decipher what's printed and output it as text.
- actually, it's like what any OCR sw does...only such sw is targeted towards printed matter on paper.
Have a start with openCV. It has a machine learning and pattern matching component. Of course, it is a library, and not an application. But there are samples of many things, and a decent o'Reilly book that explains the library. I have a recent build in OBS that you are free to install. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O.
