One of the things that has always really upset me about opensuse/linux in general is when (my own fault!) the X System gets screwed, and there is no easy/documented/googable way to just uninstall/reinstall or similar, to resurrect a crook graphics system... (from the command line..) At the moment I am trying to update unconditionally from the xorg repo (yeah, probably the wrong thing, but haven't got a lot of option at this point) to try and get the system going. If this doesn't work, it will be a clean install, just to fix a broken graphics system.... sax2 won't run at all, even with -r or forcing to intel. I think I give up...
