Greg,
Oh the irony --- as much as I hate flipper, I can actually connect to XP smb shared directories and those shared by samba. See:

However, dolphin had no ability to search for or find the smb shares available. Clicking on Places -> Network -> Samba Shares resulted in the Error: Unable to connect to smb://smb-network. I had to click on this multiple times, then manually input smb://hostname before it would find any smb shares. Then clicking on Places -> Network -> Samba Shares (two more time -- which failed), then it finally showed the workgroup properly.
This multiple failures to connect seem very similar to the fish nightmare being experienced by all users and may be related. This should be investigated in conjuction with https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=189235
I believe the difference in my being able to connect is probably due to the fact that I had my user/password combination already set in control center -> Network & Connections -> Sharing -> Local Network Browsing.
A little off topic, but David would you be willing to send me a zipped copy of the recipe directory? I've been looking for new "healthier" recipes. -- If you don't know what you want, you end up with a lot you don't. -Fight Club -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
