I can confirm this behavior on 11.0 as well. It seems to be a new bug introduced with the samba 3.2.8 packages or similar update for cifs. When I try and shutdown with mounted drives, I get:
Mar 19 18:10:50 alchemy kernel: CIFS VFS: server not responding Mar 19 18:10:50 alchemy kernel: CIFS VFS: server not responding Mar 19 18:10:50 alchemy kernel: CIFS VFS: No response to cmd 4 mid 1161 Mar 19 18:10:50 alchemy kernel: CIFS VFS: Send error in Close = -11
I find it interesting that there are more unmount surprises. http://www.jejik.com/articles/2007/07/automatically_mounting_and_unmounting_... http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=293513 I am more interested at the moment if ISO files and all LVM2 partitions can be cleanly unmounted. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=462519#c6 Regards, Markus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
