i'll have 11.1 running on my T500 laptop. some of the hotkeys (FN + ...)
don't work anymore. any idea how to define them ( eg FN + moon -> puts
laptop into sleep mode ).

In Gnome you'd go to 'Computer' / More Applications and then find 'Keyboard
shortcuts'

For KDE, I'm sure somebody else can help you with it.

Probably won't help - I have similar problems on my Asus (see an earlier mail
to the list). (At least in my case) acpi just no longer generates events for
those special keys, so there is no way (i could find) of defining something
for them :(
