I have no knowledge of your P35, but mine worked fine with the ath5k module after I got rid of the "card" that 11.1 added to my NIC configuration, and reconfigured my original card to use ath5k instead of ath_pci. I'm using it to write this message. The one that the 11.1 upgrade provided couldn't be activated. Once I reconfigured my original wireless card, I was able to delete the one that had been added.
