Personally, I just backup the home directory and anything else I need(like my smb.conf) and then just re-install. Much easier.
Hi Larry. Quite right it is. As I encountered the problem I thought I would wait for the new 11.1, and then have the HDD containing 11.0 temporarely connected in the computer, mount it, and then copy what's necessary. As there is only few days untill 11.1, I'll not install RC1. Thanks for your coments. One thing to say is, that doing that one doesn't learn about using the rescue on the DVD. I hope to find a place where the rescue is detailed shwon -- Med venlig hilsen / Best regards Erik Jakobsen eja@urbakken.dk Registered Linux user #114875 - http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
