Yes I have tried the repair installed system several times. There is a bootloader problem, that I cannot solve. I know what you means by the rescue disk, that I can see, if I boot from the DVD. The quickest method to boot installed system is:- from rescue system mount / and /boot if you have a separate boot partition at /mnt ie. mount /dev/sdxx /mnt then execute this command :- kexec -l /mnt/boot/vmlinuz --initrd=/mnt/boot/initrd --command-line=root=/dev/sdxx Obviously the dev/sdxx xx is replaced with your actual partition and disk letter and number and the --command-line=

I find the easiest way to fix bootloader problems is to rpm -i --force kernel-xxxxxxxxx and let the installation script take care of the bootloader but if you managed to reinstall yast and zypper etc. from dvd using update your system you can then use yast to fix the bootloader problem.
