-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Any udev gurus here? I have a Toshiba USB flash mem stick that has a separate "U3 Smart" ISO device that is intended for use with windoze. it is always automounted first and this makes it impossible to mount the flash device. Here's device information: PNY Attache 1Gb flash stick: ~ ID 0930:6540 Toshiba Corp ~ This is the main flash disk part.. It cannot be mounted when the ~ "U3 SMART" partition is mounted. ~ usb-0930_USB_Flash_Memory_0F10CB6881E1992A-0:0 ~ usb-0930_USB_Flash_Memory_0F10CB6881E1992A-0:0-part1 ~ The "U3 SMART" media part of the flash drive. Windoze autoruns ~ this ISO partition to use the flash device. ~ usb-0930_USB_Flash_Memory_0F10CB6881E1992A-0:1 This last device is the one to be blacklisted. How can I blacklist the device using the ID so it is never mounted? The ID is unique so it can be done with udev, if udev supports device blacklisting. The docs on hand mention nothing about blacklisting devices by ID. No, the ISO partition cannot be deleted. It is ROM. Thanks, ~ jd == The duck hunter trained his retriever to walk on water. Eager to show off this amazing accomplishment, he asked a friend to go along on his next hunting trip. Saying nothing, he fired his first shot and, as the duck fell, the dog walked on the surface of the water, retrieved the duck and returned it to his master. ~ "Notice anything?" the owner asked eagerly. ~ "Yes," said his friend, "I see that fool dog of yours can't swim." - -- =(^_^)= -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.4-svn0 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFJJsaihpL3F+HeDrIRAk9EAKCEeQLBwFlhPbHkcOJZBqSZneJtuwCePn+e zvYOYY2hjpf2ZIBQodTQLBQ= =RkVo -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
