After finishing an 11.0 KDE4 Installation - when I start the PC the first Splash Screen is the Usual Opensuse.... and Failsafe.... When I select opensuse.....instead of a green splash screen I see all the loading instructions that you would normally see if you press ESC from the Start-up Splash Screen.
Also when I shut down there is also no Splash screen just the text halt modules and settings
How do I re-instate both Splash Screens - Its probably an option on the boot loader when I select normal opensuse..... startup???????
So have you used openSUSE before, and if so, has the splash screen appeared before?
If so, it sounds as if something went wrong with your most recent installation to cause the system to not correctly use your graphics chipset.
