Whoa, huge thanks for the "fish://"! I was looking for exactly this kind of a tool (I move files between cluster, office and home a lot almost everyday. Typing everytime "scp -rp user@...." was just killing me)
Eventually I ended up ssh-ing with -X and running "konqueror &", it was slow, but fish is just awesome.
I'll second that. I don't know what percentage of folks have bothered to test the whole fish access, but it is nearly the greatest sting since sliced bread. Case in point. Working at home from last nights backup and get a call regarding new files that need to be reviewed. ctrl+t for a new tab in konqueror and the fish://office.com/samba/clients/xyz, then it's just a drag and drop and the file is local in a matter of seconds. Any updates and it's a simple fish back. (Yes I know I could make edits with a remote copy open, but i prefer the catch-and-release method... -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E.
