Workaround found - - Installed each compiz package by hand via YAST one at a time. - When compiz-fusion-plugins-extra complained, bypass it to install the remaining packages. - Then go back to install compiz-fusion-plugins-extra, & it works fine. I wish this wasn't so much "dead chicken fixing." Don't know how to help with resolving whatever is at the root of this. Thanks, - Jim Tamas Sarga wrote:

Hi,
I simply chose the ignore problem option, and it solved the problem. I have Compiz w/o any side effects.
