Agreed to Aaron here. I got 10.3 installed and kalarm is 'kde4'...and
doesn't work as simply as it did/does on SuSE9.3. In the OpenSuse 10.3
version, it wants me to write/use some script. If I knew how to code or
whatever, great, but since I'm just a plain home user and can't just click
a radio button or two and set the time for an alarm with an up/down arrow,
I ditched 10.3. (if anyone's going to say 'get an alarm clock', I have
one...*my computer*!)

Doesn't anyone remember the KISS principle and 'If it ain't broke, don't
fix it!' ?

They would not start new line if old KDE3 would be easy to fix - adjust to
modern times. The functionality will be added on the go, as it happens on
each new update.

What they missed is to underscore very early that KDE4 is not next polish of
KDE3, but rather new project that will fit better to todays hardware and user
expectations, but most of the guys are developers, not marketing specialists,
which is IMHO good.
