I've noticed something weird happening on my 10.2 workstations: even though automatic updates are enabled, the number of patches that the Online Update section of yast2 shows keeps growing. I've issued the command # rug up -y -t patch manually, but rug insist that there is nothing to be installed (--skip-interactive does not affect the result). I've tried to remove rug from the system, but to no avail (well, almost): the update command is now # zypper up -y -t patch, and I succeeded in installing one patch, but still about two dozen others are sitting around without being installed.
Have you removed rug et family, ie, zen, etc...? Do so:
rczmd stop rpm -e zmd libzypp-zmd-backend sqlite-zmd rug zen-updater
This has nothing to do with the presence of patches, especially not in zypper. What patch does it install and what does it still show? More information is always helpful.
