I use smart and it allows for multiple bootable kernels. When I upgrade kernel, I *always* retain the last *solid* performer (or 2). And have had several occasions to need to return to earlier versions.
Patrick I use Smart exclusively but Smart replaces my kernel. I have since set the kernel to multi-version and set the lock flag. Is this correct? And if it installs a newer version does it set up Grub and the boot menu? Bob S.
