But it's not too difficult to build it yourself from the src.rpm, so, you may chose to do so ;)
That's true m8.
wget http://ftp.skynet.be/pub/suser-guru/rpm/experimental/packages/freetype2/src/...
TARGET_OPT=`case $(uname -m) in i*86) echo --target=i586;; esac`
rpmbuild --rebuild $TARGET_OPT --with subpixel freetype2-*.guru.suse*.src.rpm
However IMO it's still looks like crap. I've even disabled it on my Windows coz I couldn't get sleep nights after a few hours of work with subpixel hinting enabled.
But who needs it, just build it. I like sharp lookin' fonts.
Cheers Jan
The trick, I've found, is to install the fontconfig files originally developed for PC-BSD; razor sharp-looking MS core fonts and the level/variety of hinting set out in your desktop environment's control panel for the rest. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
