Hi,
not sure about the intel platform, especially a new one. If it were myself, I would steer clear for a while, just personal preference...
Eh? I was under the distinct impression that at the moment, Intel is the clear winner on the performance and power (and heat dissipation) front.

It was not my intention to get into any kind of flaming debate about processors—I'm going to end it before it starts. I was just trying to say I have had good luck with the 2 laptops I mentioned. No flames are in evidence. But if you were "just trying to say [you] had good luck ..." then say that, and don't use the "steer clear" language. The two are hardly interchangeable. And it goes without saying that one would be "better off" conducting empirical tests, should that actually be an option...
