Hi list,
- perhaps slightly OT...
- I just fired up a new HP Pavilion dv6111 with an AMD mobile Sempron CPU. - resized the XP partition and installed OpenSuSE10.2, no sweat. Display is fine (nVidia), fonts are ok.
- wireless, sigh.
Should have been identified when you installed. I'd bet on Broadcom, although the HP site lists 3 different models, two of which also might have intel wireless. Best check on the XP side of the house. The info should be there. Older Broadcom 43xx are supported in the kernel if you can download the driver, and cut the firmware out of it.
You should have the dv6111eu model. Go to the HP site, and search for it. Once you find the correct model, you can go from there.

Hi and thanks to all in the list. I did a little digging and found it indeed was BroadCom as guessed. Unfortunately I had to deliver the HP Pavilion, which indeed is a dv6111eu model, to the user. They couldn't wait any longer. And will use it wired so far. I will, however, have to get back to this issue again when they get their wireless up. I'll get the machine back and they 'll want it to go wireless. So I'll get back in a week or two... -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Med venlig hilsen/Best regards Verner Kjærsgaard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
