Yes, it does. GCC4 "broke" a few c++ programs because it was rather more strict in what it accepted.
Basically, I would say, this is bad behaviour of the packager.
That's the first time I've had that said to me. Mind you, TTBOMK, it's also the first time someone's made any comments on my packaging :) If someone was really wondering just what I'd changed, they could easily extract the source rpm and then do a diff against the virgin sources. However, they don't need to do that. All they need to do now is download the source rpm, extract it and they can look at the diff.
But you might still want to have a look into it.
