Try installing 10.0 and dropping 10.1 it sounds like a driver issue. If
anything, disable the on-board jumper for on-board audio or just use
on-board audio and drop the card all together, got me running just fine.

Upgraded a machine from 10.0 to 10.1 yesterday where the sound card did work and now it does not. I have a Creative es1371 card that shows up in Sound Configuration list without a number assigned. It does nothing when I click delete and exits when I click Edit. How can I remove this and start over setting up the card? Any help appreciated.
