Upgraded a machine from 10.0 to 10.1 yesterday where the sound card did work and now it does not. I have a Creative es1371 card that shows up in Sound Configuration list without a number assigned. It does nothing when I click delete and exits when I click Edit. How can I remove this and start over setting up the card? Any help appreciated. -- Robert

Robert, I had problems with my on-board sound card when I first did a fresh install of 10.1. I found the following posting to be helpful in getting it to work (thanks Carl!) http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-linux-e/2006-May/1423.html I don't know if these *exact* steps will apply for you, but it might offer some ideas. -- Don
Try installing 10.0 and dropping 10.1 it sounds like a driver issue. If
anything, disable the on-board jumper for on-board audio or just use
on-board audio and drop the card all together, got me running just fine.
