ok, I have just fired up the 10.1 live DVD. First of all the good news :-) my scanner works :-)))) yippee at last. Rotation didn't work but I guess that is due to the amount of memory needed and this is the live disk.
What I did find puzzling is the fact that my monitor was not in the database. I have a 17" LG Electronics Studioworks 700s. It was in SuSe 10's database of monitors so why isn't it in 10.1? It's not as if it's a particularly old monitor. Any ideas? Pruning is good but this is a little drastic.
Try it in VESA mode. My Futura has never been in the database.
Oh I can do that ok, Carl, I'm just puzzled because the monitor has been in all the other versions that I have used. Those being 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, and 10. Why suddenly drop it when there are still far older devices that are kept. It doesn't make sense. -- ============================================== I am only human, please forgive me if I make a mistake it is not deliberate. ============================================== PLEASE DON'T drink and drive it's not clever, it's just stupid.
