Without having checked this, "ifconfig <interface> up/down" will do what you ask.
I would like to have a similar result to clicking kinternet button when ths connection is through ADSL.
There is undoubtedly a way of wrapping the ifconfig commands in some KDE stuff. Sorry, can't help much more - I think it's a pretty unusual request. /Per Jessen, Zürich
