May I use yast2 for this configuration or should I make hand change to xorg config file (PAL, device etc )? TIA Ezio
Doesn't a Plasma screen generally need a separate tuner box? Which would possibly mean it needed a proper tv tuner card?
Are you sure ? This could be a bad, very bad news ...
Where can I verify this ?
Look around the internet. What I've seen (technical details are sparse) seems to confirm this. On the specification pages that say something about accepted inputs what is listed are NTSC, PAL and SECAM. Those are video inputs formats, not RF signals. The good news is that you can use it as a TV monitor anywhere in the world. I think you've got a big video-oriented monitor (that also does VGA), not what would in days gone by be referred to as a "television."
My plasma is a old Panasonic TH-42PWD6 It has S-Video AND VGA Input and support a few resolution PC and 852x480 (but seems not pal 720x568)
