Thant's good advice! I did as you said. JavaScript is under Advanced. I disabled JS for both email and Navigator, and disabled the ability to install updates...just in case. For the rare sight where I must use JavaScript, I'll use Konqueror.
Thank you!
Welcome! But that's not exactly what I meant. If you are afraid of js in the web, you should not use it anywhere, not mozilla, nor konkeror. Or in other words, it is probably as safe to use mozilla or to use konkeror. What I meant was to disable javascript in email (only in email), which is something not really needed for anything, and can be really dangerous (I have received spam with js). Then, whether to leave java enabled in the navigators is another issue. As to the updates in mozilla, I don't know if they work. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFDxEZJtTMYHG2NR9URAo/uAKCEGmyn2lktEZ4pr4aeCcx8NkzFOACfc2FH z62rnUffUGY5hpzxFfKhW+E= =92tn -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
