The movie is suppose to be coded 624 codec, which is my understanding mpeg4. I have suse 10.0, amd 64 bit version, xined loaded. Do you know what else needs to be loaded? Do I have to run the 32 bit version? If so how do I do it?
mpeg4 can be many things. DivX and xvid, for example The trouble with xine on the 64 bit platform is a pain. As far as I've been able to determine, you need to have the same bit-ness of the codec as the xine GUI. In other words, if you're using a 64 bit GUI (xine-ui, kaffeine, totem etc) then you need the 64 bit codec, and if you have a 32 bit GUI you need the 32 bit codec The bit-ness of libxine apparently doesn't matter. I have no idea why
