No, not really :-) Just like you can't spell "iBm" or "IbM". SuSE is an acronym and the case sensivity is defined by orthographic rules of the german language.
The word "Software" has nothing to do with the German language :)
Well, "Software" is an Anglisism in German these days. Such words are always written in capital letters in German. So Frank as a German knows what he is talking about. See the Wikipedia article: Suse. "SuSE was originally an acronym for the German phrase "Software- und System-Entwicklung" ("Software and system development"). The company is now simply called SuSE Linux, and "SuSE" does not officially stand for anything any more. There is unofficial rumour that the name is an analogy with the German computer pioneer Konrad Zuse. " That is why in Germany it was known as SuSE (S_oftware- u_nd S_ystem-E_ntwicklung). When it was sold, Novell took over the name and changed it to SUSE. In American and English there are no anglo-american conotated words it relates to anymore. peace Al
And you cannot just redefine the orthographic rules of the german language. If you write SuSE a different way, it is just wrong. Of course you can decide to misspell any word you want, but it will be wrong...
SuSE used to be an acronym, but it isn't anymore. Since a while now, the correct way to write it is SUSE and nothing else. It no longer stands for anything
