I would do it from Windows. Don't try to "uninstall" Linux, just boot to Windows and use it to reformat the Linux partition. You can put back the
Using Computer Management (Administrative Tools) you will see the drive in the Disk Manager. Just remove the Linux Partitions and create new Windows (FAT32/NTFS) partitions.
Windows boot loader if you want but I am not sure how to do that with the latest Windows. The last I used was Win98 and I think the command was something like "fdisk /mbr". Use Google or some Windows support group to find the answer.
Do not use "fdisk /mbr" with Windows XP - It will break it. If your laptop doesn't boot into Windows after removing the Linux partition, ask on a Windows support group how to reinstall the Windows boot loader. You could always try Acronis Boot Manager, it works quite nicely but is not free. Albert -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
