Just give me a number to call and one or two possible times that are convenient for you.

Gil,
That shouldn't be necessary. Tell me a little more about your arrangement there. How are you communicating on-line and troubleshooting? Are you leaving the card installed and just switching bios settings?
No, I do not leave the card installed and switch BIOS settings. Here's the routine I've been following. If using the on-board chip the PCI video card is NOT in the machine. When I go to use the PCI card I first restart the pooter and go into the BIOS and change the BIOS from on-board to PCI. Then I shut down the pooter, install the PCI video card, and restart the pooter. When I decide to go back to the on-board I restart the pooter, go into the BIOS, and change it from PCI to on-board. Then I shut down the pooter, remove the PCI video card, restart the pooter. This is a huge pain in the butt! :o)
If so, that's good. If you're shutting down from troubleshooting and reconfiguring things to go on-line for e-mails, that's unnecessary and too much work. How have you set yourself up?
I then print out a bunch of the e-mails that you, Stan, and Lee have been kind enough to send. I try out the suggestions that I understand :o) and then report back to you via the list. I was about to try the various commands that you guys have sent (e.g., 3 apm=off acpi=noirq noapic). Gil
