I am trying to run Azureus, and I got a new message saying I need to open UDP port 6881 for this to work correctly. Is this a good idea ?
It's the way bittorrent works; you take some, you give some. Leeching is (severely) penalized by a much lower download speed.
If so, how do I enable port 6881 ?
If you have a (xDSL) modem with NAT you have to forward 6881 TCP & UDP from 0.0.0.0 to your inside IP address, and, as you guessed, let traffic in through the firewall.
Under YaST firewall, I can't find any config area to add ports.
