You have a problem based on the version of the JVM 1.4.2. If you run a older version of Java, it will run without problems. Use 1.4.2 and it breaks more often than you would like. It is up to you what you want to do.
I suggest getting in contact with the original architects before the Federal hammer comes down so they can stabilise the code on 1.4.2.
I'm not sure what you mean by "original architects". All I want to do is install and run Azureus, I'm not a coder. here is my info on java, I don't have a JVM installed, I'm not sure what that is! linux:/var/log # rpm -qa|grep -i java gcc-java-3.3.5-5 openofficeorg-javafilter-1.9.104-1 java-1_4_2-sun-1.4.2.08-0.1 java-1_4_2-sun-plugin-1.4.2.08-0.1 linux:/var/log # if 1.4.2_sun java is no good, what should I install, and where would I get it? -- Paul Cartwright Registered Linux user # 367800 X-Request-PGP: http://home.comcast.net/~p.cartwright/wsb/key.asc
