Hi,
Did I miss something in 9.2 ?
I have nfs-utils, it should give to me server and client. Following 5 daemons should be part of nfs-utils: rcp.prtmap rcp.mountd rcp.nfsd rcp.statd rcp.lockd
well, red:/home/jx # ls -a /2//usr/sbin/rpc* /2//usr/sbin/rpcinfo /2//usr/sbin/rpc.nfsd /2//usr/sbin/rpc.yppasswdd /2//usr/sbin/rpc.mountd /2//usr/sbin/rpc.rquotad /2//usr/sbin/rpc.ypxfrd
red:/home/jx # ls -a /2/sbin/rpc* /2/sbin/rpc.lockd red:/home/jx #
looks like rcp.portmap is missing
I didn't have any problem with nfs server in 9.0 but, in 9.2 I don.t have nfs server in YaST's networking services and I can't run it manually. Any suggestion really appreciate. Jul
Open YaST-->Add/Remove software and search for portmap. Also click on the "provides" check box for a more extensive search. You can also use pin to search for portmap to find which package provides it. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge
