Just installed a fresh 9.3 on a new machine I just put together....
I keep getting "linux hal.hotplug [xxxxxx]: DEVPATH is not set" in /var/log/messages
Anybody have an Idea where I should start looking?
No, but if it's any comfort, I get the same error in 9.3.
It's not really an error message. What it means is that a hotplug event that didn't involve a device happened. Probably you inserted a CD or something similar
Okay, so it's a useless message. Sending Messages that have not meaning to the system log is an error in my book, but I'll grant that it's a cosmetic thing of secondary importance. At anyrate thanks for the information... Jerry
