Hello, Does anyone have tips for getting a PVR-250 TV card running under standard SuSE Linux 9.2 Pro? Any tips or pointers to info is appreciated.
I've got a PVR-350 partially working by downloading the ivtv drivers from http://67.18.1.101/~ckennedy/ivtv. I've got things to the point where I can "cat /dev/video0 > foo.mpg" and get video for one channel (although the audio isn't in sync). I haven't had time to do much else with it, but hope to get freevo or mythtv running sometime soon.
I've got a PVR-250 mostly working on an x86_64 system. I had to set up a custom frequency list to get the channels working properly (and there are still a few I haven't managed to track down). I haven't been able to get freevo or mythtv working - freevo complains about a dependancy that it can't find, although I've installed it, and mythtv is stalled because I can't compile tk 804.207 - it fails with the following message: /usr/lib64/gcc-lib/x86_64-suse-linux/3.3.4/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lX11 collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [blib/arch/auto/Tk/Tk.so] Error 1 Again I'm sure I have the right libraries installed...it just isn't finding them. If anyone has experience with getting either of these programs to run under x86_64, I'd appreciate it. Hilary
