I've got a PVR-350 partially working by downloading the ivtv drivers from http://67.18.1.101/~ckennedy/ivtv. I've got things to the point where I can "cat /dev/video0 > foo.mpg" and get video for one channel (although the audio isn't in sync). I haven't had time to do much else with it, but hope to get freevo or mythtv running sometime soon. Steve

I've got a PVR-250 mostly working on an x86_64 system. I had to set up a custom frequency list to get the channels working properly (and there are still a few I haven't managed to track down). I haven't been able to get freevo or mythtv working - freevo complains about a dependancy that it can't find, although I've installed it, and mythtv is stalled because I can't compile tk 804.207 - it fails with the following message: /usr/lib64/gcc-lib/x86_64-suse-linux/3.3.4/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lX11 collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [blib/arch/auto/Tk/Tk.so] Error 1 Again I'm sure I have the right libraries installed...it just isn't finding them. If anyone has experience with getting either of these programs to run under x86_64, I'd appreciate it. Hilary

Do you have the X11 development package installed? Brana

I just double checked - I had the 64-bit devel package installed. When I tried installing the 32-bit package I got the following This got part of the compilation to run properly, but then it aborts when I'm now getting the following message when I try to compile Tk-804.027 LD_RUN_PATH="/usr/X11R6/lib" cc -shared -L/usr/local/lib64 Tk.o chnGlue.o encGlue.o evtGlue.o objGlue.o tixGlue.o tkGlue.o tkGlue_f.o tkWin32Dll.o -o blib/arch/auto/Tk/Tk.so pTk/libpTk.a -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lX11 -lm /usr/lib64/gcc-lib/x86_64-suse-linux/3.3.4/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so when searching for -lX11 /usr/lib64/gcc-lib/x86_64-suse-linux/3.3.4/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.a when searching for -lX11 /usr/lib64/gcc-lib/x86_64-suse-linux/3.3.4/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lX11 collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [blib/arch/auto/Tk/Tk.so] Error 1 I think it wants the X11 libraries from /usr/X11R6/lib64 but I'm not sure how to tell it where to look. Thanks Hilary
