correct, this extension is not supported by the 64bit kernel.
Since I get this on both dosemu and wine, is it a reasonable assumption that neither will work with a 64bit machine.
WINE works on AMD64 Linux. (It does not need vm86)

So is it possible to run a DOS executable via WINE? I'll give it a shot later today when I have a chance.
There is only bare support for running DOS executeables in WINE. Use dosbox or dosemu. Ciao, Marcus
