Thank you for pointing out my failure to eliminate your private address from the reply box. I have to hit "Reply All" to be able to reply to the list, for some reason. Other lists I subscribe to allow me simply to use the reply button. The e-mail automatically goes to the list - not the sender. With the SUSE lists, I occasionally forget to delete the sender's private e-mail. It's never intentional, I assure you - unless the sender requests the private contact, of course. Perhaps SUSE could change the way the lists work? Doing so would eliminate such accidents. Most of the time, I do it right. Perhaps I should include in my tag line "Any submissions to your private e-mail account via this list, on my part, are purely accidental"?
Seems to me it would be more intuitive to have the "relpy" button as the default method of responding. Then, if I need to add your private address, I can do so with the "Reply All" button (or manually). I use Mozilla Mail 1.7.2 If you know a way I can fix this to automagically reply to the list w/out offending everyone in the process, I'm all ears.
I do the same thing from time to time. I belong to a lot of lists, and 3 of them are setup to reply to sender, the rest reply to the list. ...
Put the following recipe in your .procmailrc and you won't have the
problems you describe: :0f
* ^X-Mailinglist: suse-linux-e
| formail -bfi "Reply-To:suse-linux-e@suse.com"

There is another solution: Use KMail, and put a 'Reply to Mailinglist' button on the toolbar, just left of the 'Reply'-Combo button. Cheers, Leen
