I'm not sure what I did to my 9.1 SuSE box but now everytime SuSEconfig runs it stops on SuSEconfig.tetex ... rawk:/home/spark # bash -x /sbin/conf.d/SuSEconfig.tetex ... ++ lpoptions -l
There is a problem that "lpoptions -l" may continuously wait when it cannot access cupsd (e.g. because cupsd is running but denies access or something like this.) In an older CUPS version (before SuSE Linux 8.2) "lpoptions -l" did wait continuously if cupsd was not running at all but this should be fixed since SuSE Linux 8.2. You should fix your CUPS config so that your cupsd responds to "lpoptions -l".
