Probably OK for a single-user box, but less good for a box that several users share with one account (depending upon the ftp site...).
Here is a safer option: Set up an ssh account instead of an ftp account. Use scp or rsync --rsh=ssh to copy resp. files or files & directories. As a bonus ;) Konqy supports this too in the form of the fish:// protocol. See Info Center -> Protocols -> fish. Usage: fish://user@domain.com (a valid ssh account is needed at the domain.com server). It seems even possible to setup ssh on W*nd*ws machines, so fish might work too, but I am not sure about that... Cheers, Leen
