How did you set it up in gnome? You need to configure firefox in "preferred file types and programs" under "advanced" settings (I think that's what it's called - can't check at the moment). Under "internet - unknown" insert firefox, or the appropriate path to the executable. I don't think just setting firefox as your preferred browser is enough.

When I first used it, I backed up /opt/gnome/bin/epiphany, "rm /opt/gnome/bin/epiphany" and "ln -s /usr/local/firefox/firefox /opt/gnome/bin/epiphany". Now I use the genuine epiphany. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce .... Hamradio G3VBV and keen Flyer =====LINUX ONLY USED HERE=====
