At this point in time, it seems to me that Anne's real problem is sending messages to this list. I did a search, no other mail on this list does contain 'Anne Ramey' in the 'From' address since december 2003.
Note the subject: "Re: [SL]". That means the message Jerome was replying to came from the German list (and it was written in English, no wonder she wasn't getting any replies, the Germans aren't known to be hospitable about those things). Jerome simply replied to the wrong list, so Anne won't see his reply :)
