Hello Anne, I feel your pain and frustration!:-) Getting answers can be difficult here but not impossible. Just keep trying. It's not a good answer but it works. Jerome

At this point in time, it seems to me that Anne's real problem is sending messages to this list. I did a search, no other mail on this list does contain 'Anne Ramey' in the 'From' address since december 2003. (BTW, *not sure* if this applies, but to start a new thread, don't reply to another mail, but just use the 'New mail' function of your MUA. Or click on the next address: suse-linux-e@suse.com, usually that starts a new mail too. Just a thought, again not sure if this applies. ;) Cheers, Leen

Cheers,
Leen I joined this list on Monday and have not seen any mail from Anne at all. One thing to watch with this list hitting reply only sends to the sender not the list. You need to reply all and cut and past the list in

Only if the person concerned has set reply-to, which is rather silly when posting to a list. Some mail programs can reply to the list if reply-to is not set. .- Richard. -- Richard Kimber http://www.psr.keele.ac.uk/

Hi, Kmail has both a 'reply to list' and a 'new mail to list' feature. Works slick. I've read some of the other browsers also have them. Rich -- C. Richard Matson

Note the subject: "Re: [SL]". That means the message Jerome was replying to came from the German list (and it was written in English, no wonder she wasn't getting any replies, the Germans aren't known to be hospitable about those things). Jerome simply replied to the wrong list, so Anne won't see his reply :)

I sent this email by accident to the list. It was meant for the sql-ledger mailing list. Jerome
