A click on the phone will open the folder of the phone and not the Pin Request for pairing.
What do I do wrong???
You need to do the paring from the phone not the computer :))
I tried that many times, ... (as I can pair the mobile phone and THIS Bluetooth dongle with Windows XP on another machine)
My mobile phone has no problem to find Bluez(0) and when I pair the devices, it askes me for the password. Whatever password I give in, it is not accepted!
The Pin Request window for pairing does not pop up on my computer!!!
So far I found only one hint, but that is against the description that it works with 9.0 "out of the box":
I use: uname -a Linux ron 2.4.21-215-smp4G #1 SMP Tue Apr 27 00:56:55 UTC 2004 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
I found that it needs kernel 2.4.22 or higher. Is that right? If so, how can I upgrade the kernel? BTW, sound is also not working, maybe an upgrade of the kernel would help for both problems.
I have upgrade to kernel 2.6.5, but it is the same! I cannot pair the devices! There is not screen poping up on the computer to put in a Secret!!!! bye Ronald
