So in other words if I have seen a GNOME CPU applet I cannot have that same applet in my own KDE? so in other words the look and feel or icons are DE specific but the programs can be ported between the two?
Not quite - yes, the look & feel are DE specific, but if you run a KDE app under GNOME, it will adopt your KDE theme of course... It's not a case of porting applications from one DE to the other, they can just be run whichever you use, it's the panel/kicker applets that require you to be using the appropriate DE -- James Ogley, UNIX Systems Administrator, Pinnacle Insurance Plc james.ogley@pinnacle.co.uk +44 (0) 20 8731 3619 www.pinnacle.co.uk Personal: james@rubberturnip.org.uk www.rubberturnip.org.uk Updated GNOME packages for SUSE LINUX: www.usr-local-bin.org
