Since SuSE 9.1 UTF-8 coding is used by default instead of ISO coding. But why? What are the advantages? Even on the shipped CDs not all files are properly converted
UTF-8 supports all languages in this world, ISO doesnt. It is under progress, I have not use 9.1 yet, I can only guess that in the later versions more packages will be available in UTF-8. -- http://www.fastmail.fm - mmm... Fastmail...
