Given that the SuSE 9.1 release is imminent and that both the 2.6 kernel and KDE 3.2 are integrated within it I am guessing that waiting another few weeks may be well advised for those of us lacking a lot of tinkering time, and for whom their SuSE boxes are "mission-critical". Am I expecting too much from SuSE 9.1? Or depending too much on the rumored release date? Will there be a charge for those of us who purchased the boxed version of SuSE 9 Pro to acquire the 9.1 CD's? Or will it be a free upgrade download? dmc Pieter Hulshoff wrote:
Hello all,
Well, I downloaded KDE 3.2.1 for SuSE 8.2 to see if some of the problems I was suffering from would be fixed, and indeed they have been! No more crashes when I attach a file in kmail, no more stalling when downloading files with kget, and no more troubles logging in automatically. It's slick, fast, and so far I haven't experienced any difficulties. If you're running 3.2 already, I think you just _have_ to make the switch, and if you're not a 3.2.x user yet you might want to consider getting this release.
