No. My SuSE 8.2 get those now and them, even my 7.3 does. I suppose the service starts, but returns a nonzero exit code. A more verbose output would be nice. Also, notice that things like hotplug fails if one of its components (usb, pcmcia, etc) fails.
What's causing all of these spurious 'failed' messages, and how do I get my system to recognize that they actually have NOT failed, so that I can get through a boot without a bunch of red 'failed' messages scrolling by?
Perhaps designing a script to run again those failed services, requesting status on them, automatically, when the runlevel is reached. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
